Rovman Powell Tops West Indies T20I Runs List After Sabina Park Knock
Jamaica’s Rovman Powell has climbed to the top of the West Indies T20 International run chart, moving past former wicketkeeper-batsman Nicholas Pooran to reach 2,314 career runs.
The landmark came at Sabina Park in the second T20 against the Sri Lanka national cricket team, where Powell made 43 from 26 deliveries. He is now the first West Indies player to go beyond 2,300 runs in T20 Internationals.
Powell is next set to lead the Jamaica Kingsmen in the Caribbean Premier League. The West Indies, meanwhile, are preparing for a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka starting June 25 in Antigua.
