Roze Don readies 25-track mixtape and summer shows in US and Canada
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Dancehall artist Roze Don is preparing to launch a 25-track mixtape titled Don't Count Me Out, following his recent pairing with producer Shakespeare on the TikTok-driven single Instruction Time. The project is slated for a mid-summer release, with Roze Don leading the effort and taking an active hand in its production.
"The mixtape is coming in the middle of summer, so the fans can look out for it. I also played a role in the production of the project, and as a matter of fact, I have been producing for sometime now," Roze Don told Observer Online in a recent interview.
Tracks he has helped produce include Love P by Sgee Venom and Birkin Bag by Shewahdexta, both released under the 2Flashy Records imprint.
Outside the studio, Roze Don has put funds into several business ventures and is lining up overseas performances for fans who have been calling for live shows. "We want to reach out to the fans who have been requesting the live shows, so we will be in Canada in August, and for July, we will be doing US dates," he said.
Six years into his career, Roze Don is widely recognised for songs such as First Night, Back Sh@#, Spain Town Badness and Unch It.
