KINGSTON, Jamaica — Minister of State in the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce, Hon. Delano Seiveright, MP, is warning the public about a fraudulent video currently circulating on social media which unlawfully uses his image and a manipulated voice generated through artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
The video is entirely false and unauthorized. Minister Seiveright has absolutely no connection to the video, the individuals responsible for its creation or distribution, or any investment opportunity, financial scheme, product, or service being promoted.
“I urge Jamaicans at home and in the diaspora to exercise extreme caution and not be misled by online content falsely suggesting my endorsement of any venture or investment opportunity,” Minister Seiveright said.
Members of the public are strongly advised not to send money, share personal or financial information, or engage with any links, websites, or contact information associated with the fraudulent video.
The matter has been reported to the relevant social media platforms and authorities, and efforts are underway to have the content removed and those responsible identified.
Anyone who encounters the video is encouraged to report it immediately, refrain from sharing it, and verify information only through official Government of Jamaica and Ministry communication channels.
