
A Saturday night lime at a Cassava Piece bar ended in bloodshed when two masked gunmen walked in and opened fire on a customer.
The dead man is Jerome Ellis, 30, also called Keno, unemployed and from Cassava Piece, St Andrew.
Reports indicate that around 11 p.m. on Saturday, Ellis was inside the Dollar Sign Bar along Cassava Piece Road when the pair entered. Police said one of the men asked for a drink while the other went over to Ellis and spoke with him briefly.
Shots rang out soon after, and the gunmen ran from the bar. Ellis was discovered with bullet wounds to his upper body. Lawmen were called in and he was taken to Kingston Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Constant Spring police are investigating the killing.
