Taxi Operator Akeem Marshall Dies in Highgate Bypass Crash

Akeem Marshall, a 32-year-old taxi operator from Cromwell Land in Highgate, St. Mary, died after his vehicle crashed on Wednesday night.

Police reported that Marshall was travelling east in a Toyota Wish along the Highgate Bypass, close to St. Mary’s High School, when he apparently lost control.

The vehicle flipped repeatedly, throwing Marshall from the car. He was taken to Annotto Bay Hospital for medical attention but died while being treated.

Investigators from the St. Mary Police are still working to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.
