Epstein says The Hive will lift Montego Bay sports tourism and youth development

1 min readSt. James

Yoni Epstein, who heads Montego Bay Multi-Sports Development Limited, says the Montego Bay Sports Complex, now called “The Hive,” is expected to make western Jamaica a stronger destination for sports tourism and youth growth.

Epstein said the complex should open pathways for promising young athletes, while giving them a secure place to train, build discipline and learn life skills. The public-private project carries a $700-million redevelopment programme, including improved playing fields, recovery facilities and a 40-room dormitory. He said it will also widen access to football, athletics and newer sports such as pickleball.
