Westmoreland police hunt three men after Savanna-la-Mar assault on teen

Westmoreland police have opened a manhunt for three men accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Savanna-la-Mar on Saturday night.

According to CVM TV, the girl left home at about 7:45 p.m. after her mother sent her to buy goods at a shop close by. As she walked along the road, a silver Toyota Mark X drew up beside her. Two masked men got out, pulled her into the car, and the driver continued to another part of the community.

After the assault, the men left her at the roadside. A report was later filed with the police, and the teenager was taken to hospital for medical care.

Officers have since placed roadblocks and spot checks across Savanna-la-Mar and nearby areas in a bid to catch the suspects.
