Windies, Sri Lanka set for bilateral tour this summer

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (CMC) — Sri Lanka are set to tour the West Indies in June and July for a fully fledged bilateral series featuring three One-Day Internationals (ODI), three T20Is and two Test matches.

The tour begins with the ODI leg on June 3, followed by the T20Is from June 11 — both series to be played at Sabina Park — before shifting to Antigua for the Test series starting June 25. A four-day warm-up match will precede the red-ball leg.

The Tests will form part of the ICC World Test Championship.

Sri Lanka, who are currently fifth in the standings with just two Tests played, will be keen to maximise points early in the cycle, while West Indies, having played eight matches and yet to register a win, will be aiming to open their account and reset their campaign.

The two sides last met in a bilateral series in October 2024 in Sri Lanka, where the hosts secured victories across formats. Their most recent white-ball contest against the Windies dates back to 2021, a two-match series in Galle that also went Sri Lanka’s way.

Series schedule:

First ODI: June 3 – Kingston

Second ODI: June 6 – Kingston

Third ODI: June 8 – Kingston

First T20I: June 11 – Kingston

Second T20I: June 13 – Kingston

Third T20I: June 14 – Kingston

First Test: June 25-29 – Antigua

Second Test: July 3-7 – Antigua
