Young Jamaican Footballers Eye Pro Path at Debut Made4Goal Showcase

Rising football talent from across Jamaica got a chance to catch the eye of overseas scouts and club officials during the weekend, as the first Made4Goal Championship Showcase was staged at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex on July 25.

The fixture pitted Jamaica Premier League Under-23 Stars against High School Under-19 All-Stars, giving the players a platform to put their skills before professional decision-makers.

Andrew Edwards, technical consultant for the Made4Goal Championship, said the programme places strong weight on building the young All-Stars’ personal brands, noting that scouts seek a wide range of abilities, including defending and tackling.

Under the Made4Goal banner, Pepsi-Cola Jamaica has pledged a J$400,000 sponsorship for athlete development. The funding covers Cavalier FC’s nutrition and training programme, as well as an Athlete Voice and Leadership Training Programme aimed at standout performers.
