Construction Worker Fatally Shot in Trelawny

TRELAWNY, Jamaica: Construction Worker Fatally Shot — Police in Trelawny are investigating the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old construction worker in the community of Bounty Hall on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Kimari Myres.

According to reports, at about 8:40 p.m., Myres was standing with a group of friends outside a house in the community when a gunman approached and opened fire.

During the attack, Myres was reportedly shot in the head. He was rushed for medical treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators have launched a probe into the circumstances surrounding the killing and are appealing to anyone with information that may assist the investigation to contact the police.

No motive has yet been established, and no arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.

The shooting has left residents of the Bounty Hall community shaken as police continue their investigations.
