Leoda Bradshaw, the woman accused of orchestrating the murders of 10-month-old Sarayah Paulwell and the child’s mother, 27-year-old Toshyna Patterson, is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday morning.

Bradshaw faces multiple charges, including two counts of murder, two counts of conspiracy to murder, two counts of kidnapping, and two counts of conspiracy to kidnap.

Sources indicate that prosecutors are seeking a prison sentence of 45 years in connection with the case.

Meanwhile, David Smith, who is alleged to have been the gunman in the killings, pleaded guilty on Wednesday and is reportedly cooperating with authorities under a plea agreement.

Two other men implicated in the case, Richard Brown and Roshane Miller, had previously pleaded guilty and were sentenced by the court.

The case stems from the abduction and murder of Sarayah Paulwell and her mother, Toshyna Patterson, who were taken from their home on Gilmore Drive in St Andrew on September 9, 2023.

Investigators say the pair were transported to an area in east Kingston, where they were fatally shot before their bodies were set ablaze.

Sarayah was the daughter of Member of Parliament for East Kingston and Port Royal, Phillip Paulwell.

The matter continues to draw national attention because of its brutality and the high-profile nature of those involved.
