Caribbean Airlines BW415 delayed at NMIA as Air Canada boards for Toronto

KINGSTON — Caribbean Airlines flight BW415 to Port of Spain, Trinidad, was held at Norman Manley International Airport after the inbound aircraft arrived late from Nassau, Bahamas.

Airport announcements said the delay stemmed from that late arrival. In a follow-up message, staff reported the aircraft was being cleaned and catered, and that boarding would begin once those tasks were finished. Caribbean Airlines apologised for the inconvenience and thanked travellers for waiting. An earlier update said a further advisory would come within 15 minutes.

Separately, passenger Mr. McDonald on flight 1300 to Miami was asked to go to gate 8, check in at the service counter, and remain there ready for boarding. The announcement clarified that the message was not a boarding call.

Air Canada also summoned remaining checked-in passengers on flight AC965 to gate 11, directing them to the airline’s service counter. Travellers were told they must obtain a fixed boarding-pass number or risk automatic cancellation of the pass and removal of their bags from the aircraft.
