Nickapella’s Show Love EP climbs Caribbean and North American charts
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Reggae singer Nickapella has spent the summer turning heads across the Caribbean, as his Show Love EP rises — and in some markets leads — the charts.
Issued in April 2026, the project has grown from a strong first outing into a widely watched release, strengthening his standing among the freshest names in today’s Caribbean music scene.
The run has stretched well beyond Jamaica. Show Love reached No. 2 on the Cayman Islands Reggae Albums Chart, No. 11 on the Cayman Islands Overall Albums Chart, and No. 12 on the Canada Reggae Albums Chart — uncommon ground for an independent title in a crowded streaming market.
“What started as an April 2026 release has become a sustained global movement. The fans are really gravitating towards the songs right now, big respect to the fans,” Nickapella said.
The regional surge points to an artiste who understands what reggae listeners want at this moment.
“We put a lot of work into making Show Love a work that reggae fans can appreciate and love all over the world, romance, ambition, conscious music tha encourages self-expression,” Nickapella said.
The seven-song set blends melodic reggae, island-rooted grooves, and contemporary production. Not long after the April 2026 drop, it claimed a landmark No. 1 on the United States iTunes Reggae Albums Chart and, months on, still shows up among the top 100.
Billboard songwriter and producer Kirk Ford, also known as Koolface, praised the release.
“From the title track Show Love to standout cuts like Little Bit, Fire, Rider, and Need It, the EP demonstrates Nickapella’s remarkable range,” Koolface said.
Its bold red-and-black heart cover art has become easy to spot, matching a brand presence as forceful as the songs. Romance, drive, and self-expression run through the tracklist, connecting with longtime reggae followers and wider international listeners.
As Nickapella rides the wave, Show Love stands as proof of how far an independent artiste can go when skill and clear vision line up.
