Hannah Collings-Myers Wins Miss Universe Jamaica Kingston and St Andrew Crown
Hannah Collings-Myers, a 20-year-old medical student, took the Miss Universe Jamaica Kingston and St Andrew title in the early hours of Sunday at the parish coronation staged inside the Douglas Orane Auditorium at Wolmer's Boys' School in Kingston.
Collings-Myers, who entered as the representative for Digita Properties, was presented with the crown by Troy-Ann Anderson, Miss Universe Jamaica East 2025.
The first runner-up spot went to medical doctor Tiyana Mowatt, while psychology graduate Shaniece Douglas placed second runner-up. All three contestants secured direct entry to the national round.
Several sectional prizes were also handed out. Mowatt earned the Essence of Style Award, and Douglas collected the Most Photogenic honour. Leighann Dacres Jones claimed both the Best in Evening Gown Award and the People's Choice Award, while Calethia Campbell received the Altruism Award. Abigail Barnes was named most congenial.
The parish-stage format follows an announcement earlier this year by Miss Universe Jamaica organisers, who said the franchise would use preliminary contests across Jamaica to widen representation and strengthen its recruitment process.
With the Kingston and St Andrew result, those parishes are now listed with Portland and Westmoreland among the areas that have selected queens under the new arrangement.
The next coronation is scheduled for June 28 at Golf View Hotel in Mandeville, where Manchester, Clarendon and St Elizabeth will choose their parish queens.
