Kingston College grad Aaden Dunn pushes Unstoppable Enterprises into home fixtures
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Seventeen-year-old Kingston College graduate Aaden Dunn is stretching Unstoppable Enterprises into the home essentials trade, adding another chapter to a young career already marked by early business success.
Dunn said the move follows rising demand tied to Jamaica’s expanding construction activity. “The reason why I’ve decided to pivot into offering home essentials is because there’s a need for it, especially in Jamaica,” Dunn said. “Everywhere you turn, there’s a new building going up.”
The new catalogue covers faucets, bathroom vanities, entrance tables, ceiling fans, shower panels, wall art and carpets. Dunn wants Unstoppable Enterprises to serve as a single source for homeowners, contractors and developers seeking those items.
The firm first earned notice selling water coolers, water heaters and vending machines, lines that shaped its public profile over recent years. “One thing that we’re known for is me being a teenage entrepreneur, along with my brand of water coolers, water heaters and vending machines,” he said.
As the heat rises this season, Dunn is also pushing branded ceiling fans he presents as low-cost yet sturdy. “If you want a fan, we have one that will last you a very, very long time. We’re not talking about one year or two years. We’re talking about five-plus years, even longer if you take care of it properly,” he said.
Those fans will sell from $17,000, he said, and include Bluetooth connectivity plus other contemporary options that, in his view, deliver solid returns for buyers.
Profitability, Dunn argued, also rests on tight stock control and lean spending. “It’s better you’re in stock than out of stock,” he said. “Try to keep overheads as minimal as possible. That’s how I keep my operations going.”
To mark the wider product push, Unstoppable Enterprises will run a summer sale from July 28 to August 10, with markdowns on its home range. “We’re going to be a one-stop shop for everything home,” Dunn said.
Shoppers can call at the showroom at 11 Lindsey Crescent, Kingston 10, off Dunrobin Road within TechPro Business Solutions. Dunn said contractors will get discounts as well while the company builds its footing in Jamaica’s home-improvement sector.
